You think you already know everything about Belgium? Then why not (re)discover the country through virtual reality! On the 1st of September, Imagine Belgium launched Flybox, its brand new immersive experience in Brussels. Take off from the Grand-Place with your VR glasses for a flight over Belgium.
With the covid-19 health crisis, many Belgians stayed in Belgium for the holidays. This is an opportunity for Imagine Belgium, the new startup that has set up on the corner of the Grand-Place, to launch Flybox, its virtual reality (VR) experience. Their goal? To offer Belgians innovative activities at the cutting edge of technology to (re)discover the « Flat Land ». Marie Logé, co-founder of Imagine Belgium tells us more: "Our intention is to use VR to bring forward unmissable places to visit across Belgium. We want to rekindle the interest of Belgians in their own country".
Imagine Belgium still has a few surprises in store for us! The startup intends to give a boost to the Belgian tourism sector and Flybox is the first innovative activity in a long series. By 2021, visitors will enjoy a real 60-minute tourist attraction, combining virtual reality, 360° projections, mapping and 4D. Travellers passing through Brussels will have a unique opportunity to discover Belgium and its heritage right in the city centre.
